Holy Ghost Premiere

September 6th, 2014

Holy Ghost, Darren Wilson's latest film, is now available to watch for free on their website! This film was a huge success on Kickstarter, raising over $350,000. Holy Ghost was available for a 24 hour period last month for a price, but the film is now free online starting today. The full synopsis reads:

Can the Holy Spirit direct a movie? In this fast-paced documentary from the director of Finger of God, Furious Love and Father of Lights, Darren Wilson sets out to make a movie that is completely led by the Holy Spirit. No plan, no script, no safety net – just go wherever he feels the Spirit leading him to try and discover the adventure God has for him. Whether its the riches of Monte Carlo, a heavy metal concert, or the oldest city in the world, the result is a film that not only challenges and excites, but also reveals a God who is far more alive and active than you ever imagined.

Mom's Night Out, released in theaters on May 9th, has now been released on DVD and Blu-ray! This film did well in theaters and was well-received as a comedic Christian film. The synopsis for this film reads:

"All Allyson and her friends want is a peaceful, grown-up evening of dinner and conversation . . . a long-needed moms' night out. But in order to enjoy high heels, adult conversation and food not served in a paper bag, they need their husbands to watch the kids for three hours—what could go wrong? Moms' Night Out is an endearing true-to-life family comedy that celebrates the beautiful mess called parenting."

Reunion Available Now!

September 1st, 2014

Not too long ago, we reviewed a Christian film, Reunion on our podcast. Well, we're happy to say that this film is now available either on DVD or as a digital download. If you didn't listen to our podcast, you can be assured that you will not be disappointed in this amazing film. This may be my favorite film we've reviewed on the podcast so far, and while it may not have had a big budget or a star-studded cast of characters, it didn't need any of that to be one of the best documentaries I've ever seen. The synopsis reads:

"Reunion is a feature-length documentary film about a teenage mother (Kim Copple) who chose to give her daughter (SaraAnn Evans) up for adoption, and their reunion more than 25 years later. Surprisingly, Kim went on to marry the father, (Duane Copple) and they had 2 more children together. It is an amazing story of redemption and the marvel of 2 families becoming one. Kim trusted God with her little girl, and worked for more than 25 years in crisis pregnancy centers counseling other women to choose life. After all that time she was able to meet the daughter that she committed to God all those years before."

You can purchase this film over on their website here. If you would like to help support this film, they're trying to raise $1,400 so they can submit this movie into iTunes to reach an even larger audience! In the meantime, what did you think about this film? If you've seen it, or are planning on seeing it, let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

Kirk Cameron's most recent film, Mercy Rule, is now available at Wal Mart! Before this, the film was exclusive to Family Christian stores, but you will now be able to purchase this at Wal Mart. Kirk Cameron made the announcement on his Facebook page today:

I have some great news: Mercy Rule is now available at Walmart! This fun new family film features both Chelsea and me, and now you can get it at your local Walmart or online... So, who’s up for a great family movie night this week?

In the midst of a challenging baseball season, young Cody learns he's not the best pitcher … or the best teammate. Meanwhile, Cody's dad, played by Kirk, is at risk of losing his family business to an unscrupulous schemer. Both Cody and his dad believe their only option is to fight their problems on their own. God's Not Dead Available Now!

August 5th, 2014

After a successful run in theaters, the popular film God's Not Dead was finally released today! You can now purchase this film on DVD, Blu-Ray or as a Digital HD download. If you haven't heard of this film, the synopsis reads:

Present-day college freshman and devout Christian, Josh Wheaton (Shane Harper), finds his faith challenged on his first day of Philosophy class by the dogmatic and argumentative Professor Radisson (Kevin Sorbo). Radisson begins class by informing students that they will need to disavow, in writing, the existence of God on that first day, or face a failing grade. As other students in the class begin scribbling the words “God Is Dead” on pieces of paper as instructed, Josh find himself at a crossroads, having to choose between his faith and his future. Josh offers a nervous refusal, provoking an irate reaction from his smug professor. Radisson assigns him a daunting task: if Josh will not admit that “God Is Dead,” he must prove God’s existence by presenting well-researched, intellectual arguments and evidence over the course of the semester, and engage Radisson in a head-to-head debate in front of the class. If Josh fails to convince his classmates of God’s existence, he will fail the course and hinder his lofty academic goals. With almost no one in his corner, Josh wonders if he can really fight for what he believes. Can he actually prove the existence of God? Wouldn’t it just be easier just to write “God Is Dead” and put the whole incident behind him? GOD’S NOT DEAD weaves together multiple stories of faith, doubt and disbelief, culminating in a dramatic call to action. The film will educate, entertain, and inspire moviegoers to explore what they really believe about God, igniting important conversations and life-changing decisions.

GOD’S NOT DEAD features a talented cast of actors including Kevin Sorbo (SOUL SURFER, HERCULES, ANDROMEDA), Shane Harper (GOOD LUCK CHARLIE, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2), David A.R. White (BROTHER WHITE, REVELATION ROAD and JERUSALEM COUNTDOWN), and Dean Cain (LOIS & CLARK: THE NEW ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN), with special appearances by Christian super-band Newsboys and “Duck Dynasty’s” Willie and Korie Robertson.

August 3rd, 2014

Pretty much since the release of Courageous 3 years ago, people have been asking when the Kendrick Brothers will release another film. Finally, we have some more information on when we'll finally be able to see their next project! The Kendrick Brothers released a statement last week saying they had wrapped principal photography on their fifth film and that a new film was on the way! A synopsis of the film reads:

"A family-friendly drama, the film is about learning to fight the right kinds of battles. Filled with humor, wit and heart, it follows Tony and Elizabeth Jordan, a middle-class couple, and their daughter, Danielle, as they struggle through personal, marital and spiritual issues. Their lives are forever changed after Elizabeth meets an elderly widow who helps her develop a secret prayer room in her home."
